Super-Sized Singles’ Vision is Growing Your Destiny thru:
- Relationships: building covenant relationships leading to marriage
- Leadership: personal and career development
I believe that we have a “super-sized God”. As Joel Osteen puts it, “God wants to do big things in your life…We serve the God that created the universe…Get rid of that small-minded thinking and start thinking as God thinks.
Think big. Think increase. Think abundance. Think more than enough.” Our vision is to super-size your friendship and spiritual family network (including Friendster and Multiply contacts), to super-size your career through promotion, and your potential for maximum impact to those around you. Our vision is to super-size your vision in your life.
Ephesians 3:20 says: “Now to Him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine according to His power that is at work within us…”
God wants to super-size us! So we can become His effective “salt and light” and witnesses, a reflection of His glory and splendour!
With that, I’d like to recognize the people who have given so much of their time and effort into making this event successful. Our Project Coordinators for this event Amador Gordon “Dondi” Peleo and Carl Rene Decloedt. Along with them are faithful servant leaders: Riz, Joy, Andrey, Lila, Ron, Mona, Melanie, Ate Mercy, Apple, Karen, Bj, Tj, Rodel (from New Manila), Kar, Aris, Elvin , Erick, Hans, Jeff and Andy. Our tarpaulin design by the artist, Sherwin Tan.
Last night, I just realized that our “Growing Your Destiny” vision is actually happening right before our very eyes. Aside from our successful events we have had, Singles at Large, just very recently, there were also its ripple effects to those who have carried this vision.
I, for one, have become part of Marketing unit for Shell Card Australia, leaving my Call Center “night life”. Melanie Finuliar was hired as a Teacher for Victory Christian School. Romel Rosal, part of our victorious Singled Out Retreat last year, already got married and flew to Texas, USA to live with his wife. Cristina Romero has been engaged to Bong Gozum of VCF New Manila last month. Dondi… (interruption from some Core Group members that day). Yun na yun! Carl? Sana papunta na rin dun? Hehe! In another dimension, Aris Calamba, graduated from his Masteral Studies, then just yesterday, Shie Paraiso flew to Australia to pursue her second degree.
As a whole, our Small Groups have definitely grown exponentially. And there’s more to come for sure. The best days of VCF-QC Block are still up ahead!
Habakkuk 2:2-3 says: “Write down the revelation and make it plain on tablets so that a herald may run with it. For the revelation awaits an appointed time; it speaks of the end and will not prove false. Though it linger, wait for it, it will certainly come and will not delay.” The key to success is commitment and F.I.S.T. (Faithful In Small Things). The men and women in Super-Sized Singles are merely ordinary people who did extra-ordinary things because of commitment and being faithful in small responsibilities and tasks assigned to them in our events.
Along with Victory Christian Fellowship’s vision, we endeavor to seek ways in raising the next generation leaders, whom we partly discovered today as we do a “friendly competition” with one another. I believe that sports develops discipline, and discipline makes the leader. And now for the awards…
