The following poem was written on Nanay’s wake, prompted by my friend, Jasper Aquino, as he organized a necrological service for our beloved mother.

You may read on Nanay’s stories of battle of survival in the hospital here.

Taken on Nanay's 58th birthday last March 25, 2013, with my Family of Brothers praying for her at our home.

Dear Nanay,

In the loving arms of the Almighty,

You are healthy and cancer-free.

By His grace, you are saved,

In His presence, you’ll be most happy.

There where you are now, you’ll be at peace,

No more sorrow, no more pain, no more tears.

There where you are now, look upon us with love.

Share with us some joy you’ve found up above.

In this life, you have suffered much

But in heaven you’ll rejoice eternally.

We love you so much, Nanay.

We will miss you sorely.

We will never forget you.

We will always love you.

Our loss is your gain.

Farewell, Nanay, farewell.
